Beeswax
Beeswax is a mixture of organic substances produced by the wax glands of honeybees to build honeycombs. It is a multi-component solid substance ranging from white (with a slight yellowish tint) to yellow-brown in color, with a characteristic honey-like scent.
This product can heal wounds, reduce inflammation, fight bacteria, and soften the skin. Beeswax retains moisture and helps keep the skin firm and elastic.
Beeswax consists of a mixture of esters (up to 75%), free carboxylic acids, and saturated hydrocarbons. It is rich in vitamin A (100 g of honeycomb beeswax contains 4096 IU of vitamin A).
Chewing wax cleans the oral cavity and helps people quit smoking. Beeswax is also used to make vitamin-enriched honey-flavored candies, which strengthen the gums and stimulate saliva and gastric juice secretion, thereby improving metabolic processes.
