Baked Apples Stuffed with Ginger and Honey
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
- 4 large Golden Delicious apples
- 30 g (2 tablespoons) finely chopped ginger
- 60 g (4 tablespoons) honey
- 25 g (2 tablespoons) butter
- 60 g (4 tablespoons) white wine
For the sauce:
Choco Honey Spiced Liqueur
Instructions:
1. Prepare the apples:
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Use an apple corer to remove the cores of the apples, but leave the bottom intact.
2. Stuff the apples:
- Fill each apple with a mixture of 1/2 tablespoon chopped ginger and 1 tablespoon Choco Honey Spiced Liqueur.
3. Bake the apples:
- Place the stuffed apples in a deep baking dish or other ovenproof container. Top each apple with a small piece of butter.
4. Add wine and bake:
- Pour the white wine over the apples and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, basting occasionally with the juices that accumulate in the pan. The apples are done when they are tender and soft all the way through.
